Solar power systems can provide the perfect off-grid power supply. It is important to consider how much power the devices, you wish to power from your solar system, are going to consume, where the solar panel will be installed and if there are any obstructions to the solar panels skyline.

Calculating what size solar power system you will need can be a little complicated. We have developed a solar power calculation tool to provide some assistance.

It is important to note that the information the tool provides is for guidance purposes only and we cannot give any assurance that peak sunlight hours will be realised as the figures provided are UK averages as published by the Met Office.

Where mains or primary power sources cannot be relied upon or are not available 24 hours a day, our back-up battery systems enable to utilisation of the primary power source when available. When the primary power is not available, the battery system automatically takes over.

Back-up battey systems are supplied with mulitple power output options. Selecting the required voltage requires a simple switch selection inside the system enclosure.

Power output options are 5v, 12v and 240v

When selecting a back-up battery power system, it is important to consider the efficiency 5v and 240v output which should be calculated 80%.
